THIS STUPID SERVER IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!
I'm surprised that you have been able to post anything on any of the boards. Last time I looked I got a message that said this board couldn't be found. You'll notice that a sizable chunk of the recent messages are missing. That's because of a cute little thing the system did when I tried to move the file that showed up in our browsers to the one that the system kept creating on its own and dumping our post into where we couldn't see them. What happened? The system locked up, grabbed everything I had and deleted it.
The only reason we have any of The Smoking Gun left (that includes the book) is because of a copy Keith saved to his hard drive in May.
Please save your messages before you post if possible. The rules for doing what we learned how to do on the old server have changed. The system that deals with the message boards was corrupted by the process we had to use to get the books onto this server. There is no telling when it will break down again but please hang in there. But now that we know exactly what the problem is we can proceed systematically to make a permanent fix.
Thanks again to all of you for being so patient and kind. You don't know how much it means to us. --Jasper
