I don't see how writers in the future will be able to avoid getting into certain areas without including elements from the O.J. case. It's just that big. It would be like talking about December 7, 1945 without mentioning Pearl Harbor.
Speaking of scissors. Do you remember Dead Again ('91) with Kenneth Branough and Emma Thompson? Many O.J. elements there include a woman being killed with scissors.
How about the movie Scissors (1990, I think) with Sharon Stone and Ronnie Cox? It also has many elements of the O.J. case. At the start of the movie, set in LA, Sharon Stone is in a store buying scissors (two blades - Ron and Nicole were killed with two knives). She would later use them in an elevator (the size of the area where Nicole was killed) to stab her attacker (bleeding killer theory) with a false beard (O.J. had a false beard in his bag on the 12th) and a knit cap. There is a long shot of the store, which appears to be in a mall of some kind with the name of another store behind it. You can't see the whole name but from what you can see you can tell that the name is Ross Cutlery.
By they way, I read in one of the O.J. books where Denise, or one of her cousins said that Nicole had a morbid fear of being stabbed to death with scissors. I can't find that reference. Do you happen to recall which book it's in? --Jasper
