Once any of us accept an idea as true it's hell to break free of it (the Primacy Effect). That's why it was so important to plant the IDEA that the Bronco was parked at an odd angle.
As far as I know I am the only person one earth to calculate the 2-degree parking angle and share it with anyone else. No one on O.J.'s team ever did it. They were content to show the picture of the parked Bronco and let the jurors decide whether or not there was anything significant about it.
O.J. first learned that the parking angle was an issue with the police was on the afternoon of the 13th when he returned from Chicago and Vannatter and Lange questioned him about it downtown. O.J. didn't know what kind of angle Lange was talking about and was therefore in no position to invent a story that fit.

Lange: You weren't in a hurry when you came back with the white Bronco.
Simpson: No.
Lange: The reason I asked you, the cars [car] were parked kind of at a funny angle, that stuck out in the street.
Simpson: Well it's parked because…I don't know if it's a funny angle or what. It's parked because when I was hustling at the end of the day to get all of my stuff, and I was getting my phone and everything off it, I was just, when I pulled, you bring it out of the gate there, it's like it's a tight turn.
Lange: So you had it inside the compound, then?
Simpson: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lange: Oh, okay.
Any story about O.J. parking with his lights off makes it even tougher for him to land in the right spot coincidentally, marker or no marker. For his story to match the evidence he could not have been off more than an inch from where the front tires and rear tires were photographed away from the curb. He couldn't have been more than a few inches farther forward or farther back and he had to stop in that zone (at night, with his headlights off) at a precise 2-degree angle - no more and no less. His story does match the evidence.
