I think you're right. From this exchange it looks as though you are.

The fact is I did take the pace of the couple into account but that wasn't the mistake. Walking at an unknown average pace they could have been anywhere. I was well aware of that and before I posted the animation I tested various scenarios with them walking at various average speeds, one of which put them where you said that Schwab saw them again. Walking at the same pace as Schwab put them on Bundy and Dorothy.
That wasn't the mistake.
My mistake was in thinking that Schwab said west when he meant east and that his second encounter with the couple preceded his encounter with the cop. If you put Schwab's cop encounter ahead of his second encounter with the couple it all makes sense. The marker that Marcia put down for where he crossed Gorham after he flagged down the cop would be the same as where he met the couple again and create no distortion in the timeline.
I'm afraid that I was guilty of misreading what you were saying because of the exchange we had a long time ago about the couple walking on the east side of Bundy in the 800 block. I thought that you were trying to confuse the timeline to make it easier to accommodate Jill Shively's timeline. I was wrong, wrong, wrong! And I apologize.
I will change the animation as soon as I can. Thanks for the correction. --Jasper
