As you know Fuhrman was not on my suspect list until the middle of the prosecution case against O.J. because I thought he had an alibi. Here are a few items that put him back on the list and made me dig to see if he REALLY had an alibi:
Killing cage too small for more than one killer wielding two kinds of knives at the same time. – one killer who knows enough about various fighting techniques to use a different knife in each hand. Kato, Shipp, Fuhrman.
Evidence at Goldman’s feet bunched too close together to have fallen that way by accident. Fuhrman’s finger pointing to evidence.
Envelope and glove in different places or positions in different photos. Who could have moved the evidence between photos? Vannatter, Lange, Phillips, Rokahr, Fung, Mazola Roberts and Fuhrman. The only detective photographed with that evidence? Fuhrman.
Approximate height of killer determined by shoe size and stride… O.J. and Fuhrman. Unanswered question…Could Fuhrman’s feet fill size-12 Bruno Magli Lorenzos?
Knit cap resembling the one that O.J. wore in the movie The Naked Gun… First person to tie O.J. directly to the murders? Fuhrman (Reported domestic “violence call,” proposed bleeding killer theory, discovered “extreme parking angle where there wasn’t one, blood spot near door handle, package in Bronco marked “Orenthal Enterprises, second bloody glove). Did Fuhrman have a special interest in O.J. before the murders? Yes. Unanswered question. Did Fuhrman have a special interest in movies in general?
Two dimes and two pennies (22 cents) photographed next to Nicole’s Jeep in different locations. Unanswered questions. Did Fuhrman have a special interest in the Twilight Zone episode Twenty Two with Barbara NICHOLs? Did the number 22 have a deep symbolic significance to him that wasn’t shared by anyone else? (a dime and a piney by the way, disappeared leaving 11 cents. JFK was assassinated on 11, 22, 1963.)
Why does ALL of the evidence in this case remind me so much of something I’ve seen on TV or in the movies? Unanswered question? Why does so much of it seemed to be related to Mark Fuhrman? Are there any real connections?
In searching for the answers to my unanswered questions I found I found so much stuff in the McKinney tapes and in only six movies released prior to the murders that linked to Fuhrman in one way or another that I put them in a chapter of Iago called Fuhrman at the Movies. Then I found so many more that they filled an entire book with so many left over that they required another book.
Fuhrman’s Murder in Greenwich movie cinched it – the train, the “time travel,” the moonlighting, the ghost, the neckties, the French Connections, etc. Yes, the 22 is there too, in spades. Or should I say “clubs”? --Jasper
