My card does not have a time that you have to use it. It tells you each time that you make a call how many minutes are left. I imagine that at the very end then may loose a few minutes if it ends up with only a few minutes on the card, not enough to finish a conversation. This really works for me. When it gets down to an hour or so left, I will get another one to use as stand by.
