I can beat even that, Jean. Either do not get a long distance service when you have your phone put in, or call the company and have oyour long distance connection canceled.

then use 10-10 numbers (there are at least three)when you want to make a long distance call.

The advantage over paid phone cards is that 10-10 numbers are probably cheaper, since they are steictly pay-as-you-go, whereas with phone cards you have to put a chunk of many up front, and some fo the cards can expire without you ever maming a phone call. Also, you won't find yourself with a phone card getting used up in the middle of a phone call.
