Spring,

Ron did have splatters of Nicole’s blood on the souls of his boots but no indication that he had stepped in her blood. These were some of the thing that indicated to police that Ron was killed first and was laying on the ground when Nicole’s throat was slashed.

In a recent post Charlie mentioned how few splatters of Nicole’s blood there were considering the extreme pressure under which blood is forced out when an artery is cut. The amount of blood on the pavement and the way it was moved around to make it flow where it would not flow naturally, would have taken care of some of the splatter but not all of it. Although some aspects of the murder scene must have been staged, the blood on the bottom of Ron’s shoes are consistent with Nicole’s wounds and the time interval between the initial cut in his throat and the and the cut the final cut to Nicole’s throat.

The scientific evidence as long, boring and difficult to understand. However, once you get a handle on what the homicide detectives and the forensics experts looked for to reconstruct what happened you can see where they had to have been correct about some things. You can also see where they could have been fooled about others if the killer knew what they would look for to reach their conclusions.

As far as the Israeli thing is concerned, this is what Paula Barbieri says about it in her book The Other Woman. (page 122):

“On Saturday night, O.J. and I had a longstanding date at a black-tie fundraiser in Bel Air to honor Leah Rabin, the wife of Israeli’s prime minister.”

O.J. had many Jewish friends. Just found out from Weller’s book that O.J.’s housekeeper was an Israeli (Miss Maple told me that Mark Eliot said she served the Israeli army). Officer Edwards thought that she looked Filipino. Don’t know here religion. Could have been Jewish, Islamic or Christian.

Sheila Weller is the kind of racist who doesn’t know she’s a racist. Wherever she can identify somebody by race she does, whether it means anything or not. I she could have defined Michele’s ethnicity more specifically, I’m sure she would have. –Jasper
