Jasper, I think he is combining what he read about the leaving time.
I said that Clark used 9pm thru the Grand Jury and Prelim Hearing and the beginning of the trial and then started backing it up as time went on.
She would say "when the Browns left around 9pm" when addressing court or the witnesses.
Somebody must have pointed out to her that 9pm was not going to "fly" and they started backing it up.
Even with 840--every minute counted and the news articles about the Browns standing outside and talking with people, getting everybody loaded --including 2 children--a possible search still going on for the glasses (depending on which story you go by and when it was told)--etc. added time before they left.
Even other unofficial news reports of the ice cream clerk refusing to put Nicole's visit there before 9pm, etc.
Every single thing would have to go right for them. Each stop at a stop light could add a 1-2 minute time to their time.
