It's the way that knife is laying on the counter bothers me, it looks so planned to sit like that. I keep thinking of the habits of a mother even when her children are older the habit remains, about keeping something like a knife that size out of their reach, but not only that , would a mother really leave it on the counter with the blade facing the edge of the counter, this is what disturbs me the most. Even in a moment of fear, I think she would be trained to automatically place it on the counter in a different fashion. Ive tried to imagine standing at the counter there and putting it down, it just seems like an ackward way to lay that knife there.
