Something Charlie said about O.J. and the 1984 Olympics triggered off memories....They kept it a secret who would light the torch inside the USC stadium. The media and everyone thought it would be O.J. because of his historic records inside that stadium. Remember? O.J. was still really important big stuff in 1984. Charlie probably knows the facts but I believe O.J. ran with the torch to the stadium...maybe just inside and handed the torch to Jesse Owens daughter or granddaughter who ran a couple of laps around...as soon as the media found this out they were clearly disappointed and said "Well we were wrong, it won't be O.J. lighting the torch!"
Anyway after the murder, media was searching for any clips of Nicole and they played a clip of Nicole hugging O.J. just after he stopped running & they had already extingushed his torch. Remember it was 1984 & they were not married...Nicole is on one side hugging and cheering O.J. & Denise was on his other side hugging (the MF) him screaming Yeh! dressed out in jogging shorts & scarf around her head, looking the part of athelete & loving friend but really hanging on O.J.'s shirttails soaking up the media spotlight which she demonstrated she loved!
Thought this little memory was interesting.
