I'm 99% sure I met her in Beverly Hills in 1981. Someone you don't forget. Here it goes: In 1981 I was at a car dealership and the flakey woman with long black stringy hair in her early 40's (I recall) flaunting her PhD. came in with her husband to buy a car. She bragged about being a clinical psychologist and bragged about living in Malibu and having a successful practice.

Then just a few months later, she came into an Orthopedist office with a minor injury like a sprain hand or something, nothing serious. At the time I thought, "Oh,no it's her again!!" She was very nervouse & demanded to be seen immediately. She thought she should have preferrntial treatment at an office that had to take serious emergencies first. She said she had a patient on suicide watch which was a lie of course because as a kid of a Psychiatrist I know for a fact, only a real physician (Psychiatrist) would be involved in the emergency treatment of a hospitalized patient under those conditions. Also a psycologist can not call her clients patients only a Medical Doctor can. So she should have said she had a client on suicide watch.

You will note Petrochelli (sp?) also referred to Ameli's clients as her patients in his book as he interviewed her and wrote about her.

Here is the real meat & potatoes about our meeting in 1981: This Ameli if it is the same woman I met, & I were talking. I told her, I noticed she lived on Birdview Lane in Malibu. I told her, " Gee, you must be a neighbor of Goldie Hawn, I know she lives on the same street."

Ameli said, " Yes, Goldie is a patient of mine also. It is very sad..." (At the time Goldie was divorcing her last husband Hudson (Kate's father) and I remember he was forcing Goldie to liquidate everything. Forcing her to sell her dream house on a cliff that was built just for her. No prenup. I believe this is why she has been afraid to marry again.)

Anyway: First of all, ethically Ameli was not allowed to reveal who her clients/patients are. The woman I talked to in Beverly Hills that day had no right to say Goldie was a patient. However, I know she was lying just the way she said it. It was public knowledge the very sad details of Goldie's divorce. So, Ameli was taking public knowledge & exploting it if she thought it could help her.

She was really a PhD Psychologist. And she did practice out of her Malibu home and at the time she claimed an office in Santa Monica that is why she was buying a car at a Santa Monica dealer because it would be convient to bring it back for service. I believe her husband was a professor at UCLA. His wife clearly embarrassed him. He was low key she was hyper.

One of the many strange things about Ameli is that in California it is unethical to treat two friends due to conflict of interests. Some of their problems may stem from their personal relationship and the psychologist would have to "take sides". I know this rule because a friend was going to a psychologist for therapy & another employee in the office asked about seeing the same therapist. The psychologist refused saying it was not ethical to treat two friends and referred her to someone else.

If you all think about it, Ameli's story about treating both murder victims up to the time of the murder is very fishy. She claimed Nicole did not pay her for the entire time she saw her. This is suspect. Does anyone know any medical provider who would treat someone for several months and wait for insurance? Even therapist bill insurance monthly. And usually make their clients pay up front. And Ameli was not a very good therapist considering the end results....
