Hughes had some role in the overall trial strategy,and was not very happy with Shapiro's handling of the early stages of the criminal trial and confronted him about it.It was in Shapiro's book if I remember correctly.He's an incredibly wealthy man,and I think he offered to post the millions in escrow OJ would have required to stay and appeal the civil judgement,but I'm not positive about this.
