Q: How many times did the police come out as a result of incidents involving Nicole and you?
A: Will you tell me what incidents? What do you mean by "incidents?
Q: As a result of any disagreement, conflict, fight, whatever, between Nicole and you.
A: Counting '89, two other times.
Q: Once when?
A: Once in 1993 when we were having an argument at her house on Gretna Green.
Q: And the other time?
A: I'm not sure, because I know we didn't call the police, but I'm told now it was Mark Fuhrman showed up at our house.

A: Yes.
From this exchange it’s clear to me that Fuhrman appeared on Rockingham in ’84 as a uniformed LAPD officer.
Fuhrman never did anything big for one reason. He probably had reason on top of reasons for saying that he went to Rockingham in ’85 rather than ’84 as well as being vague about the time of the year that it happened. One reason could have been that he wasn’t supposed to be anywhere near Rockingham when he “just showed up” there. Another reason could have been to put the incident closer in time to the ’89 incident.
I believe that Fuhrman changed the year also to add confusion to the timing of his visit relative to his meeting with Laura Hart (April ’85) and the “friendship” he started with O.J.’s “friend” Ron Shipp (unknown period in ’85). The ’85 date gave him flexibility.
In ’84 Fuhrman was just coming off of leave for his failed attempt to get a retirement from the LAPD. He was looking for another career. If he had O.J. or Nicole under his personal surveillance in ’84 with the intent of catching one of them in something that would help him launch a writing career, his SUBSEQUENT meeting with Hart and Shipp would show a logical progression toward that end. If it happened after those meetings it would look more like a coincidence. If necessary, he could explain his visit as a personal favor to Shipp to guard against unnecessary bad press for O.J. and Nicole. –Jasper
