Why is it that Fuhrman insisted that the incident was in 1985 and not 1984?
Could it be that he was not assigned to that area in 84 but was in 85?
Like Mark Day, perhaps he worked for Westec and was in fact the other Westec employee and NOT a cop at the time of the incident.
Fuhrman always had this extra jobs as a security guard in one form or another. I have always thought that at one point in time, he probably worked for Westec.
He could not testify to something that happened in 84 if he was not assigne to that area in 84. But what if he was assigned to the area in 85 but not 84 so he had to say it was 85?
And what he did was testify to something he saw as a Westec employee but claimed to be there as a cop?
Perhaps the 89 letter is not only false as to content and what he saw but as to whether he saw it as a cop or as a Westec employee.
His need to be the center of things or to come forward with info --even if he had to lie would be compelling to him.
His "need" to nail OJ in 89 might have overcome the fear of being caught out filing the letter. Nobody else came forward so he did?
I want to remind you about Fuhrman's McKenny tape claim that he testified many times to things he did not see because he was good on the stand or made a good witness.
I think he most probably was there in 84 but as a Westec employee and not a cop. He couldn't say 84 because he would be caught out then due to not being a cop in that area at the time, so he moved it to 85.
Perhaps he wasn't even supposed to be working for Westec while being a cop?
That sort of thing never seemed to stop the cops of LA in the past...or even now.
And I have always wondered what company provided Rent a Cops for the movie theater. Was Westec into that kind of security as well?
