O.J. was asked in his deposition how the police ended up at Rockingham in 1984. He is "told now that it was Mark Fuhrman".
A: I'm not sure, because I know we didn't call the police, but I'm told now it was Mark Fuhrman showed up at our house.
Q: you mean just showed up?
A: Yes.
Q: Nobody called him?
A: Didn't call the police, no.
Q: How did he get there?
A: I'm assuming Westec called him.
In his November 18 testimony, Mark Day, the Westec guy, makes a little slip. Another Westec officer arrived!!
November 18, Civil A. I had her step behind me -- I had another Westec officer that arrived on the scene, and what I observed was there was a Mercedes, like a 350, 450SL, little 2-door coupe that was parked in the driveway, in front of the front door -- that there were several dents in the top hood of the car, the glass was shattered, and then the front hood of the car had several dents in it as well.
O.J. remembers another officer arriving, it is actually another Westec officer, but he is "told now it was Mark Fuhrman".
Day, now an LAPD offire of nine years then testilies and says he waited at Rockingham for a few minutes "to hold the peace until the police arrived". He also testified (another slip?) that he learned that fuhrman had been to Rockingham in 95 when fuhrman testified in the prelims, talked to Vanatter, then Thomson and Darden. For some reason, they never asked him to testify.
Fuhrman testified that he was standing around at the station having a coffee when he overheard two detectives discuss the 89 incident. He didn't say anything about an encounter then, but waited a few days to share his memorable moment with them and then wrote the letter. The testimony was typical fuhrman talk with too many details, the names of all standing around and so on.
So I think fuhrman was not at Rockingham in 1986, that he wrote the letter to make sure that O.J. wouldn't walk away free.
