John,
1. My citation was based on your insistence that the ONLY maid’s room was in the house. I had previously stated that Michelle stayed in the same bungalow where Gigi stayed. I found my source for Gigi’s off duty residence on Rockingham but I couldn’t find my original source for Michelle’s. Your objection was that I could not show that Gigi stayed in the third bungalow. That was the reason I said that Phillips and Lange walked past Kato’s door and the proof that Arnelle, rather than the detectives, told the truth about whether or not she took them to the maid’s room inside the house. The room (bungalow) that Michelle went to in ’89 to get away from Nicole is irrelevant to that discussion. The citation I gave about Michele was merely to show that she had more than one room and she didn’t live in the one in the house. She could have lived in all thee of them at various times.
2. If the detectives were working on new information when they went to Rockingham on June 13, 1994 they would have known about Kato (first bungalow) and Arnelle (second bungalow). They didn’t. They didn’t find out about Kato until Fuhrman brought them back to his room and they questioned him. They didn’t find out about Arnelle until he told them about her. The detectives were therefore using information about where they could expect to find the maid from information that preceded Kato’s occupation of the first bungalow and Arnelle’s occupation of the second one. Thus, Michelle must have stayed in the same bungalow that Gigi stayed in before Gigi got there.
You might have to think about it for five or six seconds but the essential facts are all there. --Jasper
