I always figured that Nicole was trying to get rid of both gigi and Michell. She hit Michell when whe thought that she and OJ were going to get back together and she would be at Rockinghom. OJ would be gone most of the fall and winter and Nicole could carry on her single life, if she got rid of maids that would tell OJ what she did. She had to have a maid loyal to her to get by with what she wanted to do. Kato would be gone also and Arnell. She had to get anyone away that would tell OJ.
If they had got back together, it would not have been long till she cooked up that OJ abused her and gotten 1/2 his money because of the letter he signed that said if he abused her the prenup would be invalid. Or she would have made sure no pre nup this time around.
She found out that it was too hard to not have unlimited money after she dribbled hers away and her game was to get back, marry and divorce OJ. But in the mean time she wanted to live the single life when OJ was on the east coast.
