Charlie,
Exactaly. Karo or Shipp, or Dennese or Fay could have had access to the killer’s gloves IF they were ever in O.J.’s house. There is zero evidence that they were. They could have come directly from Bloomingdale’s.
The trace evidence (five or six naturally shed hand hairs from a black person – why so few?) could have come from the black glove with the cashmere lining that was missing from O.J.’s bedroom closet. Maybe you can think of a better reason for that glove to have disappeared right after Fuhrman and Roberts “searched” O.J.’s bedroom on the 13th. I can’t.
The infamous glove demonstration showed how easily trace evidence from the real killer’s hand could have been eliminated. All he had to do was wear latex gloves between his skin and the glove. Surgical gloves would have extended well past his wrist – which brings up the question of the fingerprint on the lens that disappeared. Dr. Lee and Dr. Wolfe were not allowed to see the print up close. What if it wasn’t a fingerprint? What if it was just a blank print in the shape of a fingerprint? Wouldn’t that clench it for the latex gloves? And isn’t it interesting that Fuhrman would mention a bloody fingerprint in his note that also “disappeared”? Fuhrman and Roberts are the only two people positively linked to a disappearing fingerprint.
The bottom line is the same. Mark Fuhrman is the only one positively linked to both gloves. –Jasper
