Thanks. I hope you’re right. It’s there. The hard part is getting people to look at it without out dismissing us the first time they see something that they think is “impossible” to determine for sure. Everyone who has contributed regularly to the discussion boards have helped to clarify the picture by correcting mistakes that ended up in every serious book on the case including Iago. I hope that true seekers of truth will use the archives as the valuable historical resource they represent for understanding how ideas about the case evolved. That could be the most important thing to come out of our efforts.
I’d like to acknowledge Dick Wagner and Chris Springer as well.
Where I had fuzzy photos, bad angles and misleading descriptions that I tried to interpret from the other side of the country, he had clear photos and he made on-the-scene inspections. The fact that he was an engineer allowed us to understand each other and correct each other’s mistakes in a way that most people couldn’t, so over time – with a LOT of help from Rose, we came closer and closer to each other.
Springer and I didn’t agree on everything but his special expertise in fighting and figuring the odds (he was a boxer and a professional gambler among other things) led both of us to the same fundamental conclusion: If O.J. didn’t do it, Fuhrman must have (just turn it around and see what you get – if Fuhrman did…). The fact that Dick, Chris and I had special expertise in crucial areas and that we worked on independently before we worked cooperatively should make a difference in interpreting what we found.
The thing about putting Killing Time and Iago together (VERY observant, Kari) that most people don’t realize is that we brought new tools to bear on understanding the issues. Killing Time provides a way to turn anything that can be used to measure duration into a “clock.” With Iago, I turned various objects and special relationships into rulers and protractors that anyone can use to answer key questions that aren’t on the record. When you put them together you get measures of time and measure of space that make some things possible, some things more probable than others and some things certain. Maybe someday, someone other than “the choir” will hear the ring of truth. –Jasper
