Rose,
Fuhrman had many partners over the years, including blacks, Hispanics, women and white cops like the one he mentioned on Laura Harts tape (this was in 1985) he said made him sick. Partners Fuhrman liked were the ones he spoke of as thinking so much alike that they didnt have to say anything to function as a team. In one place on the tapes he said that this group of cops he worked with could have killed people and gotten away with it. In another place he said that this group could have murdered people and gotten away with it. He did not name names.
Most of what we know about Roberts comes from Fuhrmans Murder in Brentwood and Roberts 1997 appearance on Primetime Live. Singular gives no indication that he knew who Roberts was but he makes it clear that he did know who The Source was. The Source had an insiders grasp oft the DAs office and a working knowledge of the LAPD and crime lab. All he or she knew about Fuhrman could have come from second-hand talk and rumors Fuhrman circulated at a cop bar. Singulars glove planting story takes Fuhrman off the hook for murder and actually helps him sell his story of finding the glove because he couldnt have planted it the way Singulars Source said he did (Pavelic was right). However, Roberts could have planted it IF his whereabouts when Fuhrman was searching the south path were unaccounted for.
Roberts whereabouts at this time were unaccounted for.
Kato and Phillips said things that contradicted Fuhrmans various stories. Roberts didnt. Roberts could have corroborated Fuhrmans story of the fingerprint, the sweats, the blood on the light switch AND the socks on the rug only if he and Fuhrman were working together to frame O.J. The bloody fingerprint took almost a year to vanish.
Fuhrman give Roberts credit for being the first to see blood inside the Bronco. He said that he and Roberts saw the socks on the rug at the same time. Marcia said that she did not LOOK in the bedroom and did not look in the Bronco. The blood trial going into the Rockingham driveway is the one that Fuhrman says Roberts discovered. Roberts put down markers for THIS blood trail. Fung picked them up. Everything associated with Roberts is fishy. Thats one reason Im sure that Marcia didnt call him as a witness. She gave every indication of trusting Fuhrman and not trusting Roberts. I think that the biggest reason she didnt call him, though, was his deeper, older-sounding voice.
My MFG (Mark Fuhrman Guilty) scenario called for a Bundy lookout with a deeper, older-sounding voice than Fuhrmans (Heidstras arguing men) AND a smaller shoe size (Lees parallel line imprints in blood). It called for a man that Fuhrman could trust with his life to watch his back if he got into trouble (Hey! Hey! Hey!), a man familiar with surveillance equipment and techniques. I picked Roberts when I learned that he matched every qualification for the Bundy lookout. Some of them were a tad shaky until Charlie showed me that I had Heidstra in the wrong alley, Miss Marple showed me what Marcia said in her book about the socks and you sent me Dicks map and photos of the Bundy Curve. In my approach, its what you dont know before you start that counts. --Jasper
