Yep, both Darden and Cochran "accept' her 715 time and even incorporate it into their questions.
For example: The last time you saw Mr. Simpson was after the recital when you were leaving at 715? Instead of just saying when you left the recital when it was over.
She says the recital was approx 2 hr and 15 minutes. (fuzzy---this may be how long they were there).
She talks of leaving from 530 to 630 to go check on the new baby and feed it.
She may be "off" a bit but I think she recalls how much time it would take her to go home and back and how long it would take her to feed the baby.
I wonder how far away they lived.
Funny how neither side pinned this down when they could have easily done it with testimony for one of the teachers or someone who had a reason to KNOW when it was. There were other people from the recital at the Mezzaluna as well as other restuarants I would bet who could have pinned the time down better than was done. And to use people who did not have an agenda about the time.
The later that they got to the restuarant--the later it was that they left.
And I have been at dinners where the bill is paid before dinner is over----esp. those where the waitress picks up the check and credit card.
I personally have paid when the dessert came or the last cup of coffee poured but sit there talking for a good time afterwards.
Garvey couldn't fudge too much on the time and would be loathe to lie about it because the defense--if they learned she went home to feed the baby--could have torn it apart. If she had never left--she might could have done it.
