We learned from the video (that Didn't show the sox on the bedroom floor) that some drops in the foyer that were tested were taco sauce or ketchup. It was stated that they went from the front door into the kitchen and were at first believed to be blood. I think that what appeared to be a lot of blood was a food product.
Recall Kato was told not to "step" into it. What was actually food products was USED to imply to Kato that a lot of blood was there.
