Spotted some typos and an omission that should be corrected to avoid confusion (last two paragraphs)…
Kato did not necessarily leave the instant he hung up. It took only half a minute for Kato to reach the spot where Park saw him. But how long did it take him to find his flashlight or to look for a better one before deciding that he didn’t have a better one? He could have taken a dump or fussed with his hair or both for three and a half to five and a half minutes. Nothing of the sort would have been big enough in is mind to recall an hour later. It wasn’t until the criminal trial that these few minutes loomed large in anyone’s mind. The big issues were when he heard the thumps and when Park first saw him.
The rest of your time estimates are based on the kind of calculations Bill Pavelic did to determine that Rosa Lopez left the Salinger’s house at 10:00 and saw the Bronco at 10:15. She did a lot of things but she did some of them concurrently and all of them in less than three minutes. –Jasper
