John, This is something that has always puzzled me. I have heard estimates of the time that they left for the airport from 11:05 to 11:15.
I can recall it described as being a few minutes after 11 as well.
I have always thought this was a problem as far as the time goes and how long it took to get to the airport, etc..
As you say yourself--there could be up to 12 or 13 minutes difference in the timeline.
I personally think it had to be later than "a few minutes" after 11 just based on when OJ came out and the suitcases were put into the car and Kato and OJ going back into the house, etc.
What could have proved this time was Kato's phone records.
I know that they were looked at because of the long distance call noted in the trial. They were able to get the local numbers as we have talked about---thru one of those phone dumps.
And it just struck me that Vannatter (while arguing with me) said that the phone records SHOWED when Kato hung up and went out front. REALLY????
They could not claim local records available for Kato --but not for OJ, Nicole and Ron.
Vannatter was so upset with me and being challenged that he may well have let something slip. It sounded like he had seen phone records to me.
Maybe, anyway. He was not particularly truthful in his interviews here in Lexington.
