The only person who claimed to have seen O.J. in the killer’s shoes was Denise Brown.
In A Problem of Evidence (page 75-75) Joe Bosco says, “…the prosecution showed a pair of the rare Bruno Magli shoes to Denise Brown and asked her if she recognized them as being shoes her sister’s husband wore. Conveniently, Denise said yes, but that was as close a link between O.J. and the Bruno Magli imprints as the State was able to draw. “
Dominique is a complete bust, although the authors of Evidence Dismissed missed it. They make a big thing out of Lange showing Dominique a Bruno Magli brochure and Dominique recognizing the logo from Nicole’s Bruno Magli’s that she (Dominique) was wearing at the time. Here is why DENISE’S story is the closest link between O.J. and the bloody shoeprints on Bundy that the State was able to draw (page 215-216) “Without knowing which pair of Bruno Maglis has made the bloody shoe prints—or any mention of their significance to the Simpson case—Dominique points to a black low-cut pair of shoes on the display, saying that she had seen Simpson wearing them around Easter 1994. It is the right choice according to the FBI’s analysis.” The shoes that left the imprints in blood on Bundy were high tops. Sam Poser, the man who sold them for Bloomingdale’s in New York, called them “boots.”
There is no indication that Denise or Dominique gave O.J. a pair of Bruno Magli Lorenzos at any time for any reason. Dominique didn’t know what they looked like and Denies only said that she saw O.J. wearing them. All of the Browns searched everywhere for a photo of O.J. in the Bruno Magli’s. Nobody looked for a receipt. On the other hand, if Denise COULD HAVE purchased the shoes for O.J. (without leaving a recorded – only one pair out of 299 size 12 Lorenzos was unaccounted for), couldn’t she just as easily have purchased a pair for Mark Fuhrman? They were his size.
The size of the closet was not an issue. O.J. was a neat freak. His shoes were most likely arranged in an orderly manner (lots of golf shoes, Reeboks, dress shoes, and heigh top suedes with rubber soles) but he left it to his maid to keep them clean and in order. Gi-Gi did this job for three months and testified that she never saw the Lorenzos. Although O.J. called them “ugly-ass shoes” people who were around him a lot (according to E!’s Kathleen Sullivan) knew that he customarily wore a similar style of shoe to semi-casual events like Sydney’s dance recital. Doesn’t it seem likely to you that all of his shoes of this type would be together? It seems to me that if one pair of this type was missing on the night that O.J. wore a similar pair, he would have noticed….
Wait a minute… The Great Randi just told me that this was not a problem for the evil and cunning Kato. He could have taken Lorenzos and left a pair of Brand-X. Now for how Kato filled out the shoes with his smaller feet to leave the impact zone in the right place. I can think of a way… Randi? –Jasper
