Jasper, In those experiments they didn't say it was metaphysical but that there must be some kind of--electrical if you will--hum going on our there with the millions of people on the earth. And there is a random pattern until the majority (or a large number) are concentrating on the same thing.
With the 911 thing, they said the spike built up thru the night to its highest peak on that morning. The guy from Princeton said he wondered if people started "feeling" it hours earlier. And he wondered too if in the Arab street there wasn't a certain level of knowledge (which we know is there since the Palestinian calendar for Sept showed a pix of the towers being struck by plane and burning--something we didn't know til afterwards).
And I would say the "emotional" part of humans all working in concert might get this electrical charge going.
Whatever it was, Art Bell refused to do anything "serious" for fear of the unintended consequences of the actions of his audience. Every action (good or bad) has consequences that you can't predict--and he didn't want to get into that area anymore. The floods and deaths after the heavy rains in Texas were enough for him.
