Miss Marple,
We might be closer on this than meets the eye…
Every “bad” thing that has ever happened to me has had a “good” outcome when I could see what it meant in a larger context. To see the larger context you have to know the truth no matter how awful the event within it APPEARS to be at any given moment.
As an industrial sculptor I learned early in my career that the process of creating the best vehicle you can put on the road is inherently messy. You start with an idea. You take a mess of clay and you shape it within the limits of aesthetic appeal and manufacturing feasibility to make that idea a reality. You add clay. You take some off. You experiment to find the limits of the possible. Some things work and some things don’t. It’s a process and it takes time to make the finished product the best it can be.
You can’t get there when you lie and cheat to make things easier or to make it appear that you are progressing toward the greatest good when you are aren’t. Finding the truth and dealing with it honestly ALWAYS produces the best result in the end no matter how many awful results you get until you reach the end.
Sometimes I think that the universe is another word for God. Sometimes I think of God as the ultimate sculptor and the universe as the ultimate master work in progress.
Why are there wars and pestilence? Why is crime and corruption so rampant? What’s up with killer floods and tornados? Why do stars explode and galaxies collide? Why does everyone and everything have to die sooner or later?
Because all of these things are essential to the ultimate creation and it’s still a work in progress. –Jasper
