Interesting discussion. I grew up in a home with a deeply religious mother and an agnostic father. My dad loved my mother enough to respect her faith and it was never an issue. He rationalized her beliefs so they would fit his. To him God meant good and she found that it was what God meant to her also. Where they worshipped didn't matter.
Later in school I studied lagnuages and it is truly amazing how in many languages the words for "God" and "good" are very similar. Much to often fore it to be a coincidence.
