Kardashian’s behavior between the announcement of the murders and somewhere toward the middle of the trial changed drastically. He was very much on O.J.’s side in words, deeds and demeanor until it came to the blood in the Bronco. That blood evidence appeared to have shaken his faith – probably because he didn’t believe the defense assertion of a broad police conspiracy (neither do I) to frame O.J. and he did believe some of the witnesses who said they saw it inside the Bronco on the 13th.
He dismissed the other blood evidence as contaminated or misinterpreted. He was the one who confirmed that O.J. did cut himself frequently and his cut finger was, as O.J. said, no big deal. He also confirmed that there was noting incriminating in the bag that the prosecution said was missing. It wasn’t missing. O.J. gave it to Kardashian when he got back from Chicago. The Chicago police found nothing incriminating in our around O.J.’s hotel and Kardashian tried to give the bag to the police in LA but they wouldn’t take it. He said that he never witnessed any sign that O.J. abused Nicole.
I don’t believe Kardashian was corrupt in any way. But I do believe there was mounting pressure on him to back away from O.J. and therefore easier for him to find some concrete reason for doing it. The reason could be as simple as his concern about his relationship with his ex-wife Kris, her testimony against O.J. and the effect of their opposing positions on their children.
The more I looked at Robert Kardashian as a possible suspect or conspirator in the Bundy murder/frame-up, the more I saw Kris where I expected to see Robert. She was the cocaine abuser, not Robert. She introduced Nicole to Faye Resnick. She had his unlisted telephone number.
William Wasz who stalked Nicole in January ’94 just before she moved from Gretna Green to Bundy, called Kardashian’s unlisted number several times. Joe Bosco thought that it proved Wasz was telling the truth when Wasz told him that Kardashian hired him to kill Nicole. I don’t buy it because Kardashian had no reason to ever associate himself with a hitman directly or to give him his unlisted phone number. Wasz sold (and used cocaine). Kris Kardashian Jenner used cocaine. So did Faye Resnick. It seems to me that Mezzaluna was one cocaine source and Wasz was another. There is no record of who was in Kardashian’s house to answer the phone when Wasz called there. My money is on Kris, who visited the house regularly after the divorce.
That brings us back to the blood in the Bronco that Kardashian said (American Tragedy) caused him to doubt O.J.’s innocence. I don’t think it was the blood in the Bronco. I think it was the fear that if O.J. were found innocent investigators would start taking a closer look at the mother of his children and find the man who stalked Nicole in January ’94, when Nicole would have probably been murdered if she hadn’t moved. –Jasper
