About a year ago I was shopping for a watch and asked if they had the wind-up kind, and was informed that no one mde them anymore! Makes sense, considering that even the highest quality even a cheap quartz watch for durability and accuracy. Now, whether this was true in 1994 is a subject for research, but I consider it highly unlikely that Nicole had a wind-up watch.
But as Jasper pointed out, even that is a moot subject when trying to determine theactual time of death.
There are, however two "clocks" for determining the time of death. On is Goldman. Wagner, and I believe Vannatter, recreated Goldman's probale movements after getting off work and determined that 10:10 wouold have been the EARLIEST he would have arrived at Bundy. (Keep in mind that he MUST have returned to his apartment to change clothes). It is reasonable to believe he arrived a few mintes later.
he other "clock" is OJ's 10:03 call from his cel phone. NO-J's say he made this call while driving to Bundy to do the murders; OJ said he made it while standing at the back bumper of the Bronco parked at the Rockingham gate.
Mpw. thee ca be no doubt that the murderer used the Bronco. OJ ha said that after maing that 10:03 call, he walked his dog around to the Ashford gate, went in the Ashford gate, then down to the garage, closed the garage and went up to his bedroom. Let's give two mintes for the time for OJ to do all that. This means that the Bronco wasn't available for "borrowing" until 10:05. then allow five minutes for drving time to Bundy.
There is one other "clock" to be considered Kaeiln had to get back to his room to start his alibi call to Ferrara, at 10:30, meaning the murders had to be over by 10:25.
All together, this mean the true time of the murders was between 10:15 and 10:25, and be "splitting the difference" between 10:17 and 10:23.
This meshes well with the "barkng dog witnesses". While it does NOT mesh well with Heidstra's testimony, it is worth noting that Heidstra never claimed to be an ear witness to the murder or to the murderr driving away; those two points were attribued to him.
