This commentary is one of the few so far that has surfaced in the face of extreme efforts to muzzle the awful truth. I must imagine that is why the "people of the domes" (as I will refer to them) are being carefully segregated out and kept confined under what can only be described as "house arrest." They have the stories to tell. Now ponder these developments: a listener called into a talk show late last week and said that if you scanned mainstream TV reports, "last week never even happened." Such is the blackout of New Orleans news with its tragic human toll. In other words, the story will again be sanitized and rewritten for public consumption. And if you have carefully followed the news cycle, only "afermath of flooding" stories are turning up on nightly reports with extended footage of the still-inundated neighborhoods--some which will never be reclaimed; one coastal section of one parish is now part of the Gulf of Mexico forever. You know, the Swedish gov offered to send in a whole crew of experts to aid in cleaning up the contaminated waters; it was denied entrance, like most other aid. Our "president" was on TV taking responsibility yesterday for the fiasco--finally--well sort of. He said the feds dropped the ball and he was the commander (spinning away his own crass disregard for a looming crisis and failure to call out the troops in a timely manner) after all. The more they spin, the more convinced I am that as in the case of 9/11, their claims to be surprised and ineffectual resulting in disorganization, etc. are bogus. I say balderdash! No one on the planet save a head hunter from the jungles of New Guinea without access to TV can duck that silly excuse. No, people, like 9/11 the timing was precise, the bungling deliberate, the ends well-executed in advance. Planned genocide. And all the American public will have to digest is pics of a swampy floodplain that used to be a great city. Mike Malloy, in addition, stated on his show that Rush Limbaugh seems to be trying to start a race war with his maniacal daily rants. His attemps to whitewash Washington's impotence only underscores the exquisite lengths our dear leaders will go to to maintain their hammerlock on the US mind. marilyn
