Hi Marilyn, in re-reading some posts, i realized i forgot to address some of the concerns in your post. Marilyn, i don't know if you read your news mainly from the "main-stream media" or the sites such as Rense.com,etc. I stopped believing and listening to anything the "main-stream media" reported long ago, unless confirmed by other sources independently. .......I also have never identified myself as belonging to a political party. Though i have voted, i never did consider myself as a part of any political party, no matter who i voted for. ......Its been long clear to me, that "both" parties work for the same entities. .. Even when i knew nothing at all about politics, i always knew it was intentionally set up to be self-defeating to buy into any kind of 'two party" system. .....It never made sence to me, unless one looks at it as intentionally set-up that way to divide and conquer. ....I also knew that we don't even select any candidates. The "powers that be" select them. So they are assured of a win-win outcome for them no matter who is actually selected Beforehand. .....I realize there have been exceptions as no human and that includes the most powerful are not All poweful and omnicient. Only God is. ....In recent years though, especially during the 20th century, more and more, certain long laid and carefully crafted plans have been being put into effect. .....Now in recent years, especially from the 80's and more so these last 5 yars, its quite clear the masks are coming off, and its big-time blatant in-your-face. ...... In effect, they do nt care that more people are coming to the realization of just what is happening, been happening, and why. I believe that at this point, this is exactly what they want. They want us to see them for what they are. ...... In other words, they are Openly Declaring War on us, the regular people, who they despise, see as a real threat, and have nothing but contempt for. ....I don't know the percentages or anything like that about how many people are turning to the internet for Real News,Info.,essays,etc. as opposed those who even with internet access, still for the most part rely on the "main-stream media" for what they think is the truth. .....I have read that a lot of people have a distrust of the internet news sites that more and more of us have turned to. Also, that those who dis-trust such sites such as Rense.com for example, which by the way has articles from everything from the "main-stream media" to individual and independent people who write essays and columns, assume that these sites are too far-out and create hysteria. . .....But i can tell you, that confonting the realities we are facing is not hysteria. It's being honest with ourselves and others, though still many refuse to hear the warnings. ......I always tell people who have this mis-conception to Please do your Own Research. I've been saying that for a long time now. .....I'm not speaking of you personally,i'm speaking of people in general. .... .....Did you know that the Bush administration has ok'ed and encouraged and i believe is policy whether "official' or not that the "main-stream media" Lie to everyone? This has been going on along time i realize, but now there's No Compunction of Publicly Stating it as policy. What does that tell everyone? Also, there have been Honest journalists who refusing to do so, have been the victims of smear campaigns, dis-crediting, fired from their jobs, brought up on bogus charges fro everything from "tax-evasion" to worse. Many have been murdered and a ruling of "suicide" (though its intentionally obvious thats bull shit) "accidents" "death from natural causes" etc. .....And it's also true that there are government websites that are set-up to appear as honest websites that "expose" and "report" the truth. Also phony "Arab terrorist" websites that have been discovered to be the government/intelligence run websites. ............ And i also know that in the best sites, dis-info.,mis-info.,lies are to be found at times too. I don't think that even the most diligent websites can always prevent this. But i do consider Rense.com and Whatreallyhappened.com along with some more, to be among the best sites for the truth. Globalreasearch.ca is another good one. With the stunningly rapid advances in technology, especially communications, it's not too surprising to see so many so distrustful of new ways to seek the truth. .....But more and more, people have and continue to come to the realization that it would do well to have a Very Healthy Dis-trust in what the "main-stream media" "reports" now. They have been, but are now Completely Corporate Owned and Operate as the Official Propaganda Arm for what is passing itself off as "our" "government". Thats not to say that there are some individuals who do try to report the truth. But i definately would not rely on them, and what they do report, i expect independent and in-depth investigation,research and confirmation. .....The internet has forced the "main-stream media" to Have to report a Little of the truth on more than a few occasions. .......... I believe each individual needs to do their own research if one truly wants the truth. I also am one who stopped believing in coincidences a long time ago........With this hurricaine, this catastrophe, and all the Known Facts surrounging what's been perpetrated on the people in the devestated areas, and in fact on all of us,and with long-time documented agenda's behind events throughout history up to the present, the Alarming Realities being written about, are not hysteria. . That's how society has been trained to believe. .. But as history proves, there's always a lot more Behind events great and seemingly "un-related and/or small". That Has Not Changed. But more people are realizing they have been lied too their whole lives, and do not want to be lied to anymore. .........And i hope a lot more will start to understand just how bad things Really are. Does that sound hysterical, or too alarmist? When one stops and thinks about it, no it's not. I also realize there are those Hired to make the rest of us who sincerely seek the truth and expose it, seem to be hysterical or the tired old stand-by "conspiracy theorists". But the Fact is, conspiracies are a Reality, not a "theory". I am a Conspiracy Realist. I am one who Earnestly wants Only the truth and to spread the truth. We all make mistakes, and the best way to deal with that is to admit it and correct it. .......Does that dampen my need for the truth and to do my own research? No Way! When i've fallen for some clever lie, i admit, and correct and go on. And i feel even More strongly about seeking the truth no matter How Distressing and Atrocious it is. And believe me, it's very,very difficult and extremely painful and yes, very frightening to be confronted with the truth about so much. But i could no longer deny anymore the truth than i could deny the fact that i need air to breathe. ............. I went on longer than i thought i would,Lol, but it is important to let others know where your coming from! And like you said in one of your posts, it sure does feel good to express yourself in a forum among friends that will understand!!!! And your right, it sure does,Lol!!!,<smile> so we have to say a Huge Thank You Jasper for making this possible. Thanks Jasper! And the long-time lago posters i have learned much from, those who don't post here now, and those who consider lago their home. And i've made the best friends one could hope for too! .......So, thanks Marilyn for reading my post, and i hope you understand me a little more now. By the way, i appreaciate your insights and posts.
