Jasper, I hate that things have gotten down to idealogical lines too but that is what it has done.
I don't and won't be saying that Bush is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I will say he is the right president for this time in history ==in comparison to Gore and Clinton. Gore and McCain were our realistic choices other than Bush. And I wouldn't vote for McCain on a bet. He is despised by the POW/MIA community due to his deliberate sabatouge of gaining info about the missing men in his capacity on the committees.
I too hate the last two years of Clinton's second term was filled with the "presidental penis" but it was More than an affair. What it was to be was the lack of care for security at the White HOuse. His sheer stupidity for getting involved with Monica who was not wrapped real tight along with at least 5 more women at the same time. I heard about Monica (not by name) but only as the intern with the thong underwear in ex-FBI's Gary Aldrich. He told years before how this woman was given access in spite of failing (big time) the FBI security check.
I also resented and was furious at Clinton "getting by with" paying off people to lie under oath and give false affadavits in a Federal harassment case and it was treated with a wink and a nod. HIs purpose was to circumvent the outcome of a court case.
If you REALLY care about the legal system in the USA, this should bother you as well. And the fact that the judge in the case (Judge Wright--his former student) was under guard by 5 body guards due to death threats.
All this time Clinton was so concerned about his multiple "honeys" and getting "serviced" while talking about National Security on the phone that he didn't pay any attention to the business of the terrorists.
And I believe and have others (in the Congress) say that the reason Clinton wasn't removed was to "save the country" from the Complete truth about Clinton. Even Reps thought it best he finish out his term rather than be completely exposed. That many who DID go read the complete documentation on the Impeachment just sat there and cried when they learned it all.
Joe Farah wrote an editorial today on World Net Daily about how it is leaking out that the Middle East terrorists DID take credit for the TWA 800 and it was only reported briefly before it was stifled. And how more and more top government agencies and people are quietly admitting that the Okla City Bombing had a direct connection with the Arab terrorists and that was hidden as well.
This is vile. Vile because of the danger that it put us in now. And the thousands of lives lost in the WTC on Sept. 11th.
And I agree with Farah--100% --that Bush MUST abandon this "let's move on" attitude of not holding Clinton nor his cohorts responsible for this and for many other things. If it is not exposed and those still in their jobs are not routed out, the "rot" from this is something we may never get over.
I do not and will not apologize for my opinion of Bill Clinton.
Jasper, you SEE what he is and have opinions accordingly. I just get "beyond myself" over the continued denial by some who don't think he ever did anything wrong and is the greatest thing since "sliced bread".
