That's not exactly how I recall it.
What I recall is that Elian's removal to Cuba had a lot more to do with it to begin with and then it went on to Clinton and other things.
I recall a lot of criticism and advice on what America should and should not do and how we should conduct ourselves and how we should think. In return, we never offered Canada any advice about such things nor did we offer any advice or make any statements as to who Canada SHOULD elect as their next leader.
Nor could you wrap your mind around the fact that we have a Constitution which barred a lot of what you suggested. Nor could you understand that Americans feel strongly about the Constitution.
We never Presumed to to you or other Canadians what is what and how to do things.
And we didn't run you off--you quit--again.
Clinton? The best thing since sliced bread for the USA? You have your right to think so. We disagreed and I think your are in deep denial about Clinton and his activities.
We could never understand why you couldn't see that you being for Clinton as a Canadian was vastly different than us as Americans not wanting to live with the results of what Clinton did, said, and executives orders and other legal stances he and his administration made...like the 2nd Amendment meaning that it meant only the National Guard had guns.
Am I aware of the hoaxes of anthrax at the abortion clinics? Yes, I am. These aren't right no matter who gets them. And they aren't the only ones to get them. In my state, hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices, the IRS and many many others have gotten the hoaxes as well as many businesses.
Perhaps anti-abortion groups or other homegrown terrorists are responsible for these things. Perhaps not. The Muslims hate ALL about our country. The movies, the porn, the religious freedom, freedom in general, homosexuals, and abortion. If they flee or stone a person to death over a bare face of a female or the accidental showing of an ankle, they sure would get upset over abortions.
Pat, a lot of these countries should be just as mad at the UN for their forcing abortions onto their countries through policies and withholding money if it is not allowed. The USA and some of its liberal policy makers (regardless of who is president) has been behind this policy.
This is ONE area I can agree. The UN forcing a very liberal 'world view" on countries that are deeply religious (like Italy and France and Muslim countries) and making policy about it surely came back and bite us in the butt.
