While on my trip to Georgia (Ft.Benning, Jasper, is locked up tighter than a safe) was from the wife of my cousin. She said her father told her when she was growing up (she is in her late 40"s) that when he was in the Middle East as a young man in the service, that Muslims thought it their "duty" to HARM non-Muslims.
He told her that a trip down the street earned you repeated painful pinches from Muslims and you didn't dare strike back.
They would cross the street just to come up to a non-Muslim and pinch the fire out of them. They were black and blue after a trip down the street.
It seems to me that this notion of "harming" non-Muslims has been going on for a very long while and has just jacked up to harm meaning killing.
This is so out of our realm of understanding. We can't imagine such a thing or doing such a thing.
This was from the so-called moderate Muslims as well.
I think it best we understand our enemy and their motives. Evidently nobody in their minds should exist if not Muslim. That is dangerous. And it has implications for the Muslims that are here and have sympathies for Bin Laden and other Fundamentalists.
