I sure am not afraid of being monitored by my government, HOWEVER, that is not their objective with this new law. It's to prevent tragedies such as occurred on September 11th. If I have to deal with that for a while, SO BE IT. I'd rather live with a few inconvenience while this country sorts things out. I have NO FEAR of our government overpowering us.
As for why you think the polls are SO HIGH, the fact is that the MAJORITY of the people feel that way contrary to what you'd like to believe.
