This is not an either/or proposition. I followed your analysis line by line and I know that you are right. By reading my e-mail from you I could also see what was coming.
Anyone who takes a position of peace above all else is stuck with the same unrealistic choices (war or peace) and the same bottom line no matter what.
We can't get around the fact that we have long-term problems we have to address and I will probably agree with you on what most of those problems are. That does not mean the short-term problem can be ignored. If we don't deal with it in the only way it can be dealt with there won't be a long term to worry about. --Jasper
