Perhaps it is time to recognize that just as the right has an Ultra right that is dangerous, the Left has an Ultra Left that is just as dangerous.
They may not look the same or act the same but just as dangerous.
What I call the Jane Fonda crowd. As Jasper has mentioned before, her speech, actions, what she gave her money to, etc. was TREASONOUS in nature and should have been recognized as such.
It is just as dangerous for those on the Ultra Left who sypathsize with the enemy to make policy to give aid and comfort and to see to it that they "get" our national security secrets because of some misguided lame-brained idealogy that we are the bad guys and the Russians or the Viet Cong or the terrorists are the "good" guys or the "freedom fighters". (I personally don't see much "freedom" happening with the Taliban.)
I agree with Jasper that many of the activities that we have "allowed" to happen and the fund-raising, etc. are Treasonous in nature and should have been labled as such and charged as such.
For example, there was a time in which the IRA made noises about targeting American locations all the while, Irish Americans were sending money hand over fist to them.
There are things that we Shouldn't be so Tolerant of or so non-judgemental of--especially when it comes to National Security.
