Jasper, I don't disagree with you. That problem swings both ways and why it is TED KENNEDY for one who is fighting tooth and nail to stop the deportation of those who fund terrorist groups. Seems he is spokesperson or the the only one with Nerve enough to do so at this time of crisis. He hasn't "gotten" it yet or he is protecting some of his Irish Catholic friends.
Another problem that goes hand and glove with this is that the way the laws are written, unless someone is actually the perp of a crime that involves terrorism, they are free to go for the most part. Nothing is done UNTIL they actually commit the crime.
I hear even now a cry to leave undocumented Arabs and illegals AlONE and not pick them up (although they are law breakers) because they have not Committed a crime. They may be Wrapped up in the terrorist movement and with strong ties to the groups or financially supporting them, or here in the US to act as sleepers, etc, we are no supposed to act on this and just let them alone until they DO commit a crime and get caught at it.
There is a DIsconnect here. I know of people who are serving LONG terms for threatening the government or the president or other things when they had NO actual plot made up--just spoke a threat in anger, etc. YET people who are known to be here to carry out terrorism, have plots in their possession, are in contact with the Terrorist heads are to be left alone to go about their business as illegals roaming the country.
I don't think so.
I hope that we (and the Congress) have learned our lesson. Not to mention law enforcement. I see where the IRA has been added to the list of Terrorists that the USA uses as well as the Hammas and Islamic Jehad. It is about damned time.
In the last decade people like Jerry Adams and Arafat (a man who has a reputation nearly as bad as Bin Laden or did before the WTC #2) were brought to our country and held up as "heroes" and invited to the WH. Something that had never been done before.
A little reported story is that in December before the Monica story broke in January, the British STOPPED sharing info with Clinton on an official basis due to the fact that they caught him red-handed giving secret info to Jerry Adams when he met with him. It was downplayed in the press of course.
Another instance of this allowing someone free reign in this area is the Florida professor who is on paid leave now under the guise that his life has been threatened after an appearance on Fox News. Wrong!
This is the second time he has been on paid leave. He has brought 4 terrorists to the FlA college to work and vouched for them, helped them vote illegally, get social security cards, etc. He had known ties to Terrorist fund-raisers, in fact writing one fund raising letter himself. There are videos of his speaking to groups saying Death to Israel and Death to the USA.
Yet with the FBI and others knowing this he was allowed to just continue on.
What's wrong with this picture?
And this guy has been here at least since 88 and did the majority of his fund-raising, etc. during the 90's and had connections to people from the first WTC bombing and now WTC #2 and other terrorist attacks.
But because he never did anything Directly, he was never rounded up and told to get his butt out of the USA.
