A nation as strong as our own destroyed by WAR WITH AFGHANISTAN? Not true, Kari. The U.S.S.R fell because of their economic structure and policies as a comunnist state.

What the!?!
In one breath, you mention being human; implying that you realize people are people, good or bad. Then you say 'these are not the Germans or not even the Japanese'? That smacks of racism, pure and simple. And as far as the terrain goes-American soldiers have fought in EVERY kind of Weather and terrain. Before you reply, keep in mind I am just telling you how you sound,not how you personally feel. You may also want to check out the post on "Doing Without" board too.
