1000% agreed. I was there --Not Viet Nam but here where I heard Jane Fonda everytime she hit the airwaves.
Unfortunately these days we have some very popular yet "fringe lifestyle" celebs whose main goal in life is to "make a splash" in the media with the most outrageous remarks and behavior that they can get by with. And get by with they do. Over and over again they are "forgiven".
I just hope they keep their damn mouths shut on this one! Too many folks think that Britany Spears or Barbara Streisand or Alec Baldwin's opinion on politics or whatever is the Gospel.
I read the other day where this producer (of movies like The Hunt for Red October and others) made a remark and said that he sure hoped that Richard Gere didn't make an ASS out of himself over this.
I have often wondered if it weren't Deliberate that those actors who make an ass of themselves the MoST are given the rolls of the famous military figures in history. (in recent years I mean)
I do differ with you in one area. I HAVE heard the Hate America First from posters. Also, most of the Peaceniks on tv have that attitude too. I saw Palistian Flags today on tv, flags that represent tryranny (us) and white Americans dressed like Arabs in Support at the rally in DC.
I see that as no different than flying the Viet Cong flag especially since it is only 18 days since the terrorists attack and WE have not fired a shot.
