Jasper, what makes you think I would disagree or be mad?

I said only that putting the blame totally on Corporate America is wrong and a mistake. It is much more complicated than that.

There is enough political blame to go around on both sides.

I do think that many people (in politics and out) who were arrogant, stupid and after the bottom line (LIbs do that too you know) and thought that just because we were America nobody would dare to attack us in that way.

What I will say (and you may agree with me partly or not) is that during the 93-2000 period of time when ALL of the current terrorist attacks took place from the First WTC bombing to the embassies, Khobar Towers, probably TWA 800, EgyptAir, etc. we had an administration TOO filled with Peacenicks from the 60's and 70's. Men and women who were in fact out on the streets during the VN war burning flags and protesting (both in this country and in foreign countries like Clinton did in England). Too many communist sympathsizers (like Strobe Talbolt) and many others. A bunch of Barbara Lee's who in the past worked directly to comfort the enemy. People who were so Paralysed with the "Viet Nam Syndrome" that they did nothing about the terror attacks and perhaps even hid it to keep from having to do something about it.

I heard Clinton's last PR secretary--Joe somebody or other on tv the other night--saying that the bombs lobbed at the Bin Laden camp a couple of years ago and into the factory in the Sudan were "symbolic" responses. Huh?

Symbolic responses? That is the problem with having all these Peaceniks in charge. They put great store in "symbolic responses" or doing things that "look good' but don't solve the problem.

We had 8 years of moral equilvancy. Where the Taliban would be just as good as us. Or rather we are just as bad as them.

We had 8 years of where national security didn't counted and giving secrets to our known enemies was ok. (I blame Reps, btw, for not putting a stop to that and going along with it)

We had 8 years of where security in the White House and background checks of people who worked there were discarded and workers came to work with "Lenin" pins on their clothes from the first day.

I could go on and on but won't. I think you get my drift.

I WILL say that those who brought these things up or pointed out the problems with it were labeled "racists" or "bigots" or "Clinton haters". There was an atmosphere put in place where a person could be "ruined" for questioning or disagreeing with Clinton.

And that was dangerous. For us.
