Jasper, I agree with you about 98% or more. I have a couple areas where I differ slightly.

For one thing the Followers of Bin Laden and other leaders such as him is not Less than 1% but more like 10 to 15% and givent he vast numbers of Muslims in the world, we are talking about multi-hundreds of millions. And there are a great many who are not followers but sympathsizers and they aren't all Muslims. Some are the Peaceniks.

As with the IRA in Ireland, there were many who did not "dirty" their own hands with it but sent huge amounts of money to Jerry Adams and others "back home in Ireland"".

There is also a HUGE middle ground for those who openly condemn them to those who follow Bin Laden. It's a mirky ground.

I may have said here but I know I spoke elsewhere of where I saw the Muslim cleric who was featured at the National Memorial Service on television. He stunned the reporter interviewing him by not fully condemning the terrorists and suggested that no retaliation be done. And this was the guy featured on national tv as a "symbol" for those who did not agree with the terrorists.

I saw a news interview on Fox where a man who investigates such things (a Muslim) said that many of the organizations that are being featured on tv right now as being on "our side" have very "peaceful" websites but what goes on at their conventions and rallys is something else all together.

And the folks you mentioned who care more about their own principles than the safety and security of their own nation or their own families is a good accessment but not the whole story.

The program the other night I referred to had one of the callers (the ignorant kid who spouted about Ghandi and wouldn't fight for his own family) was asked about what he would say if he own family was targeted. His answer? He said he would say "Remember Wounded Knee!" as if to say even if his own family was killed something that happened in the US past made it OK for the terrorists to come kill his family.

I think we have a very dangerous situation here. The perps in the first WTC bombing had been living here for several years. That puts it back to at least 1990. I think it highly possible that there are some sympathsizers and supporters who have been living in this country for at least that long, sending money back (or donating it thru dummy organizations or fake charities)

There was a guy that Fox had on the other night from the So Florida college where 4 main terrorists at one time worked and/or taught there. Some were killed in the hijackings but others went back overseas and now head up major cells. There is ONE guy at the college (an Arab) who brought them All here personally. He was interviewed and sat smirking that there was no Proof that he had anything to do with the terrorists. He claimed to be totally ignorant of their activies or politics. Yet it seems mighty strange to me. They were all here due to his Personal efforts.

I am NOT suggesting we go round up all the Arabs in the USA and lock them up. What I am suggesting is that not all of the Arabs or even Arab-Americans are what they seem to be or are our friend in this matter.
