That's why Fuhrman's various roles in the Bundy murders (killer, cop, star witness, best selling author, professional celebrity) are as important now as they ever were. Maybe more important now than they were before.
Most people forget that Fuhrman started his book promotion with a nationally televised interview with Diane Sawyer BEFORE the civil trial of O.J. Simpson and the ground rules for the trial began. He came off looking like a star.
Most people forget that Fuhrman's 1989 letter to the city attorney that gave O.J. his "spouse abuse" record was all hearsay. They forget that hearsay evidence was not allowed in the criminal trial but laws were passed to permit hearsay evidence in the civil trial specifically to "get" O.J. The law is still in force. The precedent was set with O.J. in California. In this climate of irrational fear and hatred is some quarters of anyone who looks like an Arab, it will be easier to apply to "them." After that, it will be much easier to apply across the board. --Jasper
