I still believe this may be an overreaction to what has happened with the closed meetings, etc.
It is my understanding that EVERY state is getting info from the Feds about alerts and threats, etc.
I learned today that soldiers have been guarding the Army Depot here. We have one of the toxic waste facilities near here at the Army Depot. Just as a precaution, extra guards have been put there just have they have been in OHio at some of the armorys. It was my understanding that the employees did a voluntary guarding starting on Sept 11th--night and day. Then somebody in the government thought this a good idea and make arrangements for official guards.
I think many of the cities, counties and states are getting these alerts. There are plans to be made about what to do in an emergency and who is responsible for what.
I think many of these meetings all over the country (with less fanfare) are being held in secret. Why? To cut down on the panic that highly publicized and open meetings might cause in the general public.
It is a good idea to keep an eye on this. I don't think it has anything to do with Florida specifically or of Jeb Bush in particular. I think because some of the terrorists were headquartered there is why it might be more visible.
I personally think that ALL governors and mayors, etc. and agencies are on high alert and are making plans that the public might not be privy to.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It cuts down on panic in the poplace and it keeps the plans from anybody who might use it against us.
I mentioned earlier about the class at Eastern University where half of the class of Arabs had not only been learning how to Make bombs and how they were the most effective BUT the emergency plans on how a community would handle the problem.
One well-known tactic of terrors (and was used in the WTC) is that shortly after the emergency workers get on the scene and in the buildings, a second attack in planned----just in time to kill the police, firemen, Emts, etc. Just like at the WTC.
