Jasper, I agree. I agree too about the Reason we were lied to. It was to AVOid a costly fight that the leaders at the time had no stomach for. They were draft dodgers and Viet Nam protestors in the past. It would have screwed up their Legacy of Peace that they were so adamant to go after. But it was a peace at any cost. And that is unacceptable.

The cost has been tremendously high--too high.

Tonight I saw former talk show host Phil Donahue on tv and he was HYSTERICAL. He was ranting and raving about how we CAN"T go over there and drop BOMBS. At one point, in his hysteria, he said if we do, we'll have another terrorist attack here. Well, hells bells. We are going to have one anyway especially if we DON"T exact some justice on the perps.

He was pushing going only with the UN and if the UN didn't back us to forget it. And he did a lot of talking about the world court.

Like you, I don't care what race or religion or country they are from or what their so-called reasons were. However, it IS a fact of life that ALL of the perps were Arab men of Muslim religion (granted a fanatic). And that must be recognized and the others in this country bent on doing the same things who are here because we are such a free society and have been terribly naive and arrogant to have them here MUST be found and stopped. And regardless of what some on this discussion say, that is NOT racist.

It was NOT tall blond Nordics who brought down the planes. It was not Black men or Hispanics. It was Arabs.

And I have resented greatly the suggestion that anybody who supports the War on Terrorists is a racist as I have seen in some of the postings.

And to suggest that this country who fought the last 3 wars (in the 90's) is racist when all three have been to support and protect Muslims is also offensive to me.

The sooner they find them the better. Hopefully before there can do another terrorist act. charlie
