I am not surprised. The truth is the truth no matter where you live. An attack of this scale on civilians and symbols of a way of life are attacks on civilization. Make no mistake about it, the symbols were important. The plain that hit the Pentagon was meant for the White House and who knows what the plane that went done in Pennsylvania would have blown up if a few heroic people on the plane had not stopped it. I don't see how anyone anywhere can miss the global significance of that..
You don't have to be a Buddhist, for example, to appreciate what a horrible thing it was for the civilized world for some intolerant "religious" jerks in Afghanistan to blow up a 2,000-year-old statue of Buda. And is should surprise no one that these people played a part in the attack on us. They attacked "us" when they blue up that statue of Buda. --Jasper
