Jasper, A flight attendant of 29 years called Art Bell last night and explained the plan.
She (as you said) that they are TRAINED to OPEN the door for a hijacker.
They work under the premise that they will JUST be flown to another airport and will be inconvienced only.
So in most cases, the doors were readily opened for the hijackers because of you say the immediate safety concerns were carried out.
She also said the door to the cockpit MUST be reinforced and she is sure that their training will change now.
NOBODY (reasonable people) thought that hijackers would use the planes as weapons. It was beyond comprehension.
I think that is one reason we have heard from countries who don't usually support us. If these people will do this--they will DO ANYTHING. And the other countries KNOW it. charlie
