Another odd incident is when Fuhrman goes to the neighbor's and talks to Rosa Lopez. At the time he believes he is in charge of the Rockingham crime scene, ("Placing his hand on my shoulder, and with confidence in his voice, Vanatter said,You're in charge of this crime scene".) But he doesn't ask her, the closest neighbor, any questions at all, only asks permission to enter the property. Why? Is he looking for that blue plastic bag? And didn't he find it? Says he spent several minutes looking around the back yard, but found nothing. Lopez had added (if you believe it) that anytime he needed to come back he didn't need to ask permission.
Now Fung has arrived and in his book, Fuhrman describes bits and pieces of what happened next. And then "I led Fung down the south walk way to recover the glove and the small blue wrapper I had noticed earlier." A flamin' lie!
What I think he did here is he replaced the blood stained plastic bag that he dropped earlier with a fresh one from the homiside kit.
